Alleyway Life

A 3D Unity project for a university class, showcasing the aesthetic of “undesirable” places, in this case an alleyway, in a fun way.

Stylistically heavily inspired by indie video games. The player gets to explore this setting, by meeting the often-forgotten life and charm of dark alleyways.

The project uses a combination of 3D elements, including 3D scans, with 2D sprites, from photos or drawn. Additionally, employing the use of animations, particle effects, and a pixelization render. The use of these techniques was heavily influenced by indie video games.
